At The Forefront of Real-Time Healthcare System Technologies
This year as in previous years, Gartner has cited Q-nomy as a sample vendor in its report titled "Hype Cycle for Real Time Healthcare System Technologies, 2018".
Q-nomy was named in two categories – the first, in which we have been cited previously, is "Patient Self-Service Kiosks". This category discusses free-standing displays that enable patients to perform tasks such as registration, check-in, wayfinding and account payments.
While not involving breakthrough technologies, self-service kiosks make a major contribution to the patient experience when implemented properly. According to Gartner, along with improved customer convenience and data quality, these kiosks offer opportunities to engage the patient, reduce wait times and improve workflow.
The second category in which Q-nomy was cited as sample vendor is new, and perhaps more exciting; titled "Real-Time Health System Platform", it is defined as software that acquires, accrues, analyzes and translates operational intelligence into enterprise action.
The RTHS Platform category is considered "Transformational" by Gartner. It is an evolution of the "RTHS Orchestration" category, included in the Hype Cycle report for the first time last year, in which Q-nomy had also been named.
